Joshua Bicknell - Ethnic Conflict in Kenya
Director of Balloon Ventures Joshua works is the Director of Balloon Ventures, an award winning social enterprise who aim to defeat poverty and disadvantage through job creation in the developing world. They bring young people from around the world to Kenya, Uganda and Chile to work with budding entrepreneurs. Balloon Kenya was a finalist for 'International Social Enterprise of the Year' at the 2012 Social Enterprise Awards. We have also been featured in the FT, Virgin, the Guardian and in 2013 we worked with UCL Advances, Plymouth, Northampton and Aston University to take their students abroad. Their acclaimed BalloonICS brings volunteers for 12 weeks in East Africa to provide entrepreneurs with the skills & knowledge to maintain new business ideas.
